Disaster Relief and Emergency Services

Earthquake Relief:

We worked to provide relief material during the 1993 Latur Earthquake and the Bhuj Earthquake in 2001. We provided material like blankets, stoves, tent, food supplies, etc. This activity was supported by Help-age India, OXFAM, Intermon, Terres Des Hommes, etc. 

 

Flood Relief:

We also worked in providing relief material during the 2006 Flood in District Sangli and in Kolhapur district during the massive flood in Kolhapur District in the year 2020 and 2021. Here we provided relief material like hygiene, medicines, stoves, food supplies, seeds for farmers, etc. We also trained the villagers on how to manage such natural disasters. This activity was supported by United Way Mumbai, Care India, etc.

 

Drought Relief:

The drought prone areas of Maharashtra always face drought. We have provided drought material every two to three years, in the form of starting fodder, camps, work for food, work of cash, etc.  This activity was supported by Terres Des Hommes, Intermon, etc.
